USAG Announces Standardized Floor Music Program for 2026-2027 Season
USA Gymnastics has announced that beginning August 1, 2026, all Xcel, compulsory, and optional competitive levels will transition to a standardized floor music catalog. Gymnasts will no longer be permitted to use custom music selections in sanctioned competition.
The Technical Committee cited music licensing concerns, judging consistency, and competitive fairness as the primary drivers of the decision. A formal music submission and distribution process will be announced prior to the 2026 season opener.
