FloorMusic.com App 2.0 Is Out: Built for Meet Day
The FloorMusic.com app is how coaches run floor music at meets: one phone, every gymnast's routine, in order, ready to play. Version 2.0 is the biggest update to the FloorMusic.com app since launch, and every part of it is about the same thing. When you walk up to the table on meet day, your music works.
Verify it, lock it, and undo any mistake
The new Meet Day section in Settings is the night-before routine. Verify All Songs checks that every routine on the device can play, even with no signal in the gym, and tells you which ones aren't ready while there's still time to fix them. Then Meet Lock freezes the device: nothing can be edited, added, deleted, or synced until you turn it off. Playback works exactly as normal. Your music stays exactly as you verified it, no matter who picks up the phone.
Behind both of those, your library is now backed up automatically, every day, plus a snapshot right before each change you make. Deleted the wrong routine, or trimmed a cut you didn't mean to? Restore From Backup in Settings puts the library back the way it was, and you can preview a backup before you restore it.
Sync you can trust, on every device
Sync between devices was rebuilt from the ground up for 2.0, and it's where most of the work went. Add a routine on your iPad, and it's on the phone you bring to the meet. Trim a cut on one device, and every device gets the same file. Add a two-second intro beep to a routine, and it plays that way everywhere. And if a phone dies or goes missing, sign in on another device and the whole library is there. A lost phone is no longer a lost season.
Also new: share any song straight from the app so a gymnast's family has a copy of her music, and export whole playlists to hand a team's music to a co-coach. And the new Choreo tab connects you with choreographers who work with gymnasts at every level.

FloorMusic.com App 2.0 is a free update on the App Store. If you already have the FloorMusic.com app, update it. If you've been running meet music from a music app and a folder of files, this is the season to stop.
